- Suffolk Coastal District Council: Overall
management of the coastal management & engineering
service; technical advice to the Council; fulfilling Council’s
obligations under the Coast Protection and Land Drainage
Acts; designing, preparing contract documents & supervision
of capital & revenue funded studies & construction
projects. Preparation of annual revenue and capital programmes.
Project management and contractor procurement for the
first review of SMP 3C. Procurement and management of
strategy studies for the coastline between Southwold and
Felixstowe.
- Environment Agency/Halcrow Group: River
Arun to Adur Coastal Defence Strategy and Shoreham Adur
Tidal Walls Project Appraisal. Undertaking stakeholder
consultation and appraisal of engineering options.
- Rother District Council, East Sussex: Preparation
of Scoping Study on issues of landslip at Fairlight Cove;
procurement & supervision of geotechnical survey;
economic and technical option appraisal; preparation of
Project Appraisal Report; contractor procurement; NEC
Project Manager for £4.3M scheme.
- Defra/Environment Agency Flood and Coastal
Erosion Risk Management R&D Programme: Member of the
Programme Advisory Group; Project management of the research
projects undertaken for the former Policy Development
Theme Advisory Group. Project management of the beach
management R&D.
- Babergh District Council, Suffolk: Preparation
of district-wide Strategic Flood Risk Assessment.
- Regional Coastal Groups of England and Wales:
Secretary to the English and Welsh Regional Coastal Defence
Groups and Secretary to the Anglian Coastal Authorities
Group. Organised national training workshops on behalf
of the coastal groups.
- East Lane Trust Initiative/Suffolk Coastal
District Council: Project managing the appraisal, design
and approval of £2.2M privately funded coastal defence
scheme.
- Halcrow Group/Environment Agency: Local
Authority consultation for the national Coastal Erosion
Risk Mapping R&D project.
