David Ablett

A fully qualified CCAB accountant having been admitted to full membership of CIPFA in November 1981. During a career of nearly 30 years in Local Government Finance David has been at the forefront of many innovative solutions to provide up-to-date and accurate financial information.

He has extensive service delivery and management experience throughout the broad spectrum of local government finance including Accountancy, Audit, Exchequer, Local Taxation, Payroll and Housing Benefit functions. In addition, David assumed responsibility for meeting local government Section 151 Officer Requirements. He has operated as a senior manager leading multi disciplinary teams addressing cross cutting themes and as a member of Corporate Management Teams. David takes a personal pride in the delivery of financial services both within the organisation, to colleagues and Members, and outside to external clients.
